Good Fight Herb Co.
Lauren Giambrone, Community Herbalist, Medicine Maker + Educator
Says Lauren, "The source of motivation for my work is self-determination; for supporting folks making decisions about their own health care, their own bodies, their own desires to feel good based upon their intuition, which is something our modern medicalized society has taken away from us. we are taught from a very early age in this culture to not trust our bodies, only to trust the doctors; to not trust our foods and plants as medicine, but pharmaceuticals only. i believe in integration of these, options and choice. we live in a corporate driven capitalist culture where profit is clearly more important than people, and to me, that means we are living in a culture that is deeply sick. i've learned to turn to the plants and the earth and my community as integral parts to my healing - both in preventing illness and treating it when i'm sick. true connection, feeling connected, is one of the best medicines there is, that unfortunately our system as is doesn't always allow for. the work that i do growing plants, making medicine and educating others, is to carry on the long and beautiful tradition of herbal medicine and taking care of ourselves and the ones we love with listening, love and of course, the plants!"
Located in NY's Hudson Valley, Good Fight organically grows and gathers medicinal herbs for handmade, small batch products that promote self care and thriving health. Each plant is cared for and each product made by hand by Good Fight's small crew of apprentices, with the intention of taking good care of our selves, the plants, and the ground they came from.
